Etiquette, Kids and Cyberspace

Cyberspace: the realm of Electronic Communication

Cyberspace is convenient, interesting, a way to keep in touch, a way to get quick questions and answers……BUT….Cyberspace can be very harmful to children if used in the wrong way.

It is easy for kids to think they are anonymous online because they are not facing a person directly. With video cameras and phones, kids can post any photo for the world to see. Sometimes they post unflattering videos of others. This is called cyber bullying.

Kids, remember to think before you press the send button. You cannot get it back!

Parents, remember when children go online they have access to every type of pornography and many other inappropriate sites. Educate yourself to be familiar with internet risks and safety.
