Robert is one of the many special kids without stuff at
StarShine. I’ve known Robert for almost all of the seven years I have volunteered
at the school. I’ve always liked him.
I seem to see Robert more than I see any other student on the
campus. He seems to pop up wherever I’m walking. I don’t know if he plans it
that way, but it seems so, every time I go around a corner he’s there smiling
at me. He’s a nice polite kid and I hope
for a bright future for him.
For the past few months, I’ve been scurrying around trying to
get the two libraries up and running. I plan this week to take time to sit down
and chat with Robert. Maybe I’ll tell him what a neat kid he is.
I’m not sure if I’m
leaving a mark on Robert, but I do know that he has left a mark on me.
