Quotes & Reflection on Possibility

by Jan Shoop
Today’s quotes and reflection are on the word Possibility.
In researching and writing today’s post, I found a wonderful quote describing the word possibility perfectly:

“I have always felt that the moment when first you wake up in the morning is the most wonderful of the 24 hours. No matter how weary or dreary you may feel, you possess the certainty that…absolutely anything may happen. And the fact that it practically always doesn’t, matters not one jot. The possibility is always there.”
Monica Baldwin – I Leap over the Wall

After finding this quote, I did a little research on Monica Baldwin. This is what I discovered:
In 1917, Monica Baldwin became a Catholic nun in England, at the age of 17. At the age of 45, after 28 years as a nun, she decided to leave the convent. She returned to the world in 1941 during World War II. I Leap over the Wall is her memoir of the time she spent in the convent. Her book was published in 1949.

I haven’t read the book yet, but plan to soon. I’m sure you can find it in your library or purchase it on Amazon. Here is the link: I Leap Over The Wall - Contrasts And Impressions After Twenty-Eight Years In A Convent. I’d love to hear your comments about the book.

“With God all things are possible.”
