Hearts, Hands and StarShine

Saturday night was the Annual Hearts and Hands Dinner at St.Barnabas Episcopal Church. The Hearts and Hands Dinner and Silent Auction is the fundraising event that supports the missions at St. Barnabas. StarShine is one of the St. Barnabas missions.

Along with an annual donation from St. Barnabas, the church supports StarShine by providing volunteers that spend their time reading to students, teaching etiquette, financial literacy and chess classes, and building the StarShine library. Some of the St. Barnabas parishioners have donated books, art supplies, school uniforms, bookcases and many other items.

Due to the generosity of St. Barnabas, StarShine is able to enhance the learning and special activities for the students. Schools function best when they are part of a community, and the StarShine partnership with St. Barnabas Episcopal Church is a perfect example of a school and a community working hand-in-hand.

Thank you – St. Barnabas for supporting StarShine Academy.
